My husband doesn't seem to like this sweater, and I've spent so long knitting it that I don't have any perspective left. Should I finish it? Should I wear it? Should I burn it?

Should I hide out with the cat?

Three women, one blog, a whole lotta yarn. Chialea is an intrepid cryptologist, dancer, and hiker. Krista is a law student who never has time to knit. Eightoclock is scarily flexible in many senses of the word. They fight crime!
why doesn't he like it? it's beautiful, detailed, sexy without being inappropriate, and a great color. i always feel great when i'm wearing something i've made, especially in a crowd like that, because it adds to the mental list of conversation topics i can safely hit ("what a pretty sweater!" "thanks. i just finished it this week." "oh, you made that?" boom--off to knitting, which can lead to anything--the person's also a knitter, or they know someone who knits, or their mother knitted, whatever), and because i feel proud in it, as well as the thing being beautiful on its own.
ReplyDeleteso i say wear it!
I think it's beautiful! It fits you perfectly and seems very appropriate for a holiday party.
ReplyDeleteI love it, agree totally with lisabe and meredith. I'd probably wear a red or black bodysuit/cami underneath it. What I wouldn't give to have your lovely figure!
